Re: What did you do to your Grand Prix today?

The otherday, tuesday, i changed the wheel hubs. then thursday i prayed that i made it home when my cv joint and ball joint v(passengerb) blew out on ke.

What did I do to me car? Just drive it to work and back. My dash cam is working perfect wired up to a wire from the ignition.

Today at work a guy pulled in the lot in a black GP GXP, it was pretty nice, no dings and was pretty clean. Sounded like an aftermarket exhaust. I figured since I get complements on my car once in a while I might as well do the same to others with nice GP's. Turns out it was my bosses nephew, he said he loves the car(except gas mileage). I would too if I had a gxp lol.

There's one thing I can and will always say about that Eldorado. It sure does sound a hell of a lot better than any 3800 exhaust I've every heard.

We still have a 2000 dts. I use to drive it when the GP was parked man did it kill me on gas..worked 45 mins from home drank gas like no other. Boring ride I don't like riding on cloud I like to feeling the road.

Power wise it's pretty decent buts it's a heavy car. Obviously it wasn't designed to be a hot rod. When you work anywhere from 60-70 hours weeks and spend almost a good 2 hrs a day 6-7 times a week driving it you need something to keep you awake and the caddy did nothing for me and was a pain in the ass to work on.

I will agree these N* cars are a pain to work on. Power wise it's not bad. These cars haul on the top end though compared to GP's. I like the comfiness too lol.

And once you hit that top end watch the mpg die instantly. It's a trade off. I'm perfectly happy with the GP. Cheap parts. Easy to work on. Reliable. Decent power what's not to like.

Yeah I'm getting between 19-22 on my daily commute in the Eldorado. Not bad for an old N* I thought. But my GTP used to get 26-27. I do miss my GP. But for now I'm fine with this Eldorado as long as it cooperates with me.
