What did you do to your Car today?

And, is there a how to on the forum for doing the valve covers? I see the one that's 33 min for the LIM, but I just need the VC's.

There's a video that I wish was on Youtube before I did mine. The rear was a pain for me since I wasn't sure if the tensioner assembly had to come off or not. It did though. - Which means coolant elbows should be on the parts list too if they're old. I didn't know at the time and had a coolant leak for a few days. Had to change them in freezing weather.

Thank you good sir!

No problem. Also I edited it in, add coolant elbows to the list if they're old, or you want to upgrade to aluminum ones. Mine cracked in the process and leaked for a few days. I wish I would have known at the time because it got really cold after doing the vc gaskets too so I had to change the elbows in the freezing cold weather. Not fun.

I don't think cruise has anything to do with the bearings or ABS sensors. When I had a broken wire at my hub my ABS/Traction Control lights were on, but my cruise still functioned without issue.

Well it does on the 04+ not sure about 97-03 The ebcm watches wheel speed sensors for erratic wheel speed. When it sees a crazy mph while the brakes aren't applied the car (perhaps only vehicles equipped with stabilitrak) shuts off cruise. I verified this with the tech2. It shows the last 10 reasons the cruise was shut down.. Ex.. Brake, switch, erratic wheel speed.. My last 10 were wheel speed errors.

I didn't have any abs codes, lights or low speed issues which what I did would have fixed I've just fixed so many over the last few years for water intrusion, wires that have turned to powder.

My car is garage parked and hasn't been dirty dirty in a year, let alone driven down a dirt road.. Pulled the insulation off what covered the factory twisted wires and nothing but solid wet dirt sludge was inside.

I made a good 30mile trip today and cruise works great.

Looked at it in the garage this morning as I pulled off in the CSVT. Hopefully this thing lasts for a few months so I can keep the miles down on my GXP.
