• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

so i think i finally figured out how to corner hard and compensate for the heavy front end, and coming out of the corner at a speed greater than the entrance speed.

also noted tonight.
my abs system doesn't work when/as well as it should.
aka shouldnt be able to lock up the front wheels at 50mph.
thankgod for having a decent braking technique, or else i'd be in jail for vehicular manslaughter because some dumbfck decided 12am is a goodtime to walk down the middle of the road.

Changed my front turn signal bulb. Went a few months with it partially working. Sometimes it would, and sometimes it wouldn't. If it flashed real quick(meaning it's not working), I'd leave it flashing and go out and hit it. That would reconnect the filament and it would work for a while. Just recently I attempted it for like the 4th time, but it wouldn't work anymore so I had to go out and buy a bulb. $6 for two bulbs at advance... a little pricey.

so.
i bout a 'new' maf today.
car is still broken.
showing the same symptoms as the last maf.
i'm keeping it unplugged until i can figure out whats going on.
a friend of mine mentioned that i could have a bad o2 sensor. do you think that might be it too?

Check your supercharger bypass valve. It's the little plastic canister on top/front of the blower.

Last time I had a stubborn P0171 code that wasn't solved by replacing the MAF, I found out that the valve had split in two somehow.

A zip tie later, the thing has worked properly ever since.

Got home for a long drive and left it running while looking under the hood. I was just checking trans fluid level and then I noticed air started blowing past me, so I look and just my right cooling fan came on low. The left fan was not spinning. I knew the temperature was only at 200° 30 seconds before, so why would the fan come on? I checked the dash and it was at 203°, when I thought they came on at 212? And I didn't know one would come on and not the other. I've checked my dash gauge with my scan tool and the readings match up exactly when at 200°. I also checked both of my cooling fans by applying power straight to the fans and both worked. Anyone know why it did that? A/C was not on.

Was driving home on a 4 hour drive and my car started to slowly shake and get worse and worse... Then it was bad the rest of the way going home, I do need an alignment but it shakes worse at about 40-60 mph, I got home and only on the driver front wheel, the inside behind the spokes of the wheel and on the strut there are spots of black goo, I'm not sure what it is, anyone have any idea why it would slowly start to shake and what the heck that goo is?

Changed heater hoses, a split lower oem heater hose was nasty to change. Pissed cause

1. Someone mixed up clamps and small clamp on lower larger hose on heater core was next to impossible to get off- tight spot
2. Only small temp light on dash came on, no warning chime or light on HUD. Glad I had smelled it.
3. Car ate a 5/16 socket when I removed lower rad hose to flush
