• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Watched it pull out of the driveway and drive off down the road.

Lee took it to install the dp. I'm hoping he doesn't get it done tomorrow so I can keep the G6 over the weekend.

So took the GP to get the codes pulled for the s.e.s. I had took it to pep boys cause its free . Found out I'm throwing a P0404 and P0410 so gonna have to change the EGR valve and maybe the wiring. Never again will I go to any pepboys. NEVER They locked the keys in my car and when they got the keys out they destroyed the molding and felt to the window:th_tongue2:. The molding and the felt in ruined to heck and back. Not my day. Got a case against them for them to repair it. I am seriously going to invest into my own code puller. This is such B.S :th_shakinghead1:

my muffler is once again firmly reattached.

spent a good 1/2 hour getting the old reducer out of the muffler. f 'n pain in the ass. thank god for chisels.

why didn't you do it yourself? thats like the easiest thing ever

Simple if you got the space and there are no issues. When I bought mine I paid a friend $30 to put it on. He has a shop and a lift. The one nut gave him major issues and there is no way I would have gotten it laying on my back in my garage.

breaker bar or grinder($10 at harbor)

Hell I would of gladly paid the $30 to not have to go through the hassle of getting everything out, hacking the car up, finding the right size socket and getting on my back.

I would bet they are not lifetime replacement. They do carry a LIMITED lifetime warranty which only covers part failure, not natural wear.

I'm pretty sure that lifetime replacement really does cover wear. Once they're to the wear indicator, take them in and get new ones for free. Downside is you need to go to the parts store with the brakes, but no problem if you've got more than one car around. The rotors have a replacement plan but expires after 2 years. So natural wear may or may not make it in that time frame, I guess depending on how much driving you do.

I know several people that work at parts stores and from what they said lifetime warranty really only lets someone get ONE wear replacement. After that the warranty is only on parts failure.

If that's the case then I wouldn't have replaced them twice so far, all I had to do was take the old ones back in and boom out the door with new ones, free.

It's probably one of those things that is up to the parts store clerk. If they're in a bad mood, they quote the warranty and tell you to f*ck yourself. If they're in a good mood and want the business for brake grease and brake cleaner, they'll swap the pads out.
