It's an 03 LS which has the 3800. Same body styles in 2000-2005

They're so similar to Grand Prix's in design. It's basically the same car with a different body style. Same engine, trans, and suspension. Looks the same under the hood, just a different fuse box and a few other small details. I believe it sits off the ground a little higher than my GP. But it comes stock with the cross bar that goes in between the strut towers, as well as the ones going to the rad support.

Hows the ride ? She does a lot of highway miles on her job, looking for smooth quiet ride.
Does it have any of the gp problems ? lim, coolant elbows ?
 
Yes any problems the 98-03 GP's have, the 02-05 impalas will too. So basically all the same rules apply when checking them out for purchase. It rides a little stiffer than my GP for some reason, but it may be because it needs new struts. I actually like that better though. It will be just as quiet with good tires. Ours has winter tires on the front that apparently will just be on all year round, so it's a bit noisier than all seasons.

So like I said they're really the same cars. Just way different body style and interior.

It's going to have the same problems as our cars. Do the lim and change to aluminum elbows and keep on trucking. Check if the lim is plastic or aluminum and that will tell you if it needs changing.
 
Got a bs ticket at the dream cruise tonight... Handed him the wrong insurance paper (both were in my wallet) and he gives me a no proof of insurance ticket. When he comes back to the window with the ticket I say "couldn't you have just said I handed you the expired slip when I had both in my hand?" He says take it up with the court smh... He also added if I were you I'd just go home. Wtf?!? I'll be going up to the police station Monday morning!

I also want to add, it states on the ticket that even if I bring in my proper insurance I'll still have to pay $25! Royal Oak sucks

thats called "court costs". if you go to court, theres always court costs, even if you get off.

and the cop should have asked you if you had another card before writing that ticket, thats a dick of a cop.

That depends on the state. I've won cases in court, and walked out with $0 out of my hands.

I have had almost exact same thing happen to me. $10 and a few hours wasted at the courthouse so he could get his ticket quota.
 


ive had the same deal, old ins card, cop told me i had till the end of the day to show it at the local PD, no tickets, and no court date lol
 
Hell one time I couldn't find the registration or insurance cards because I was in my dad's truck and didn't know where he had them.

Cops cut me a break on that, and on my speed. Pulled me over for 80 in a 55, wrote me up for disobeying traffic control device.

ha, i got that one before too. i was doing a a easy 100 mph plus, radar detector went off i slowed to 80, cop came out off the side of the road, pulled me over. said i clocked you doing whatever it was, in my head im saying to myself, you should have seen me 2 miles back lol

cop wrote a traffic control device ticket, zero points, and 30 dollar ticket. that cop must have gotten laid that morning or some crap. cause he was way to cool......

this was also a small town cop up state NY. not a trooper like you always seem to run into upstate.
