What did you do to your Car today?

Been gone for a while on my summer vacation and all I did to the car was clean it an full it up with gas. Oh and gave it some new shoes for the front. What do you guys think of Napa Ultra silent pads. They pretty good or what, just got em on for the front only like a few days ago.

A Buddy and i snapped a bolt off where his drive shaft bolts up to the tranny on his jeep. We drilled it out carefully mind u and had no problem. Didn't even hurt the original threads that was there

drill a smaller hole in the stud left in the part, then use a extractor bit. or easy out. id heat up the metal around the bolt before trying to remove it too.

Why scared?

Because I might mess up something if i go too far down, i've never ran into a problem like this.

Do you have any idea what sizes i'd be needing ? I have a 2004 GTP

they sell them at the auto parts store. you'll need a small one being the bolt that broke is rather thin. you'll also want to try to center punch the bolt so the drill is centered best you can. and use a good sharp metal bit to drill with. the easy out should tell you what size bit to use.

Center Punch? whats that?

Uh oh! Maybe you should get some help. It's a punch that's pointed and will indent a place in the middle of where you want to drill so your drill bit won't try to drift away from the center of the bolt.
