I took mine off to help remove heat! And I also put my volt and narrowband afr in tonight glad I filled the pods lol and put a cone filter on the factory hai will that hurt my mileage?
 


Mmmm today.,. I er uh.. susstained right around 100mph for a good run. Got me thinking.. what are these poor GT NA guys pushing for rpm at 100, YIKES! Glad I got me da highway gears.

The only reason I think it would make a difference in sound is because every time I'm working under the hood of a car and my ear is right next to it, it seems like I'm deaf in that ear. It's weird, I can hardly hear when it's next to one of those things, they seem to absorb sound really well. I agree with the other posts, it's not going to help you in an under hood fire. It would probably just catch on fire and make it worse lol.
I should make a video of a before and after if I do take it off.

When will winter just GTFO? Fishing season opens this weekend. At least the lake is open. I still may go out.
