• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Put the new headlights in. They actually came with new bulbs, but I bought new Silverstars for both high and low

I also did an oil change, removed the front seats to go over the plugs and the air bag module trying to solve my random air bag light. While I had the seats out I vacuumed under them and went ahead and vacuumed and wiped down the entire interior. I went ahead and washed it too.

Are those just sock replacements? Freaking crystal clear

I assume this is aimed at me. They are TYC replacements I bought off of Amazon. I also bought new TYC fogs, but only got one so far. The other won't be here until Monday or Tuesday. Didn't want to have one brand new one and one hazed one.

Worked on a rear window regulator. Was really easy but for some odd reason up is down and down is up. All the electrical connections can only go in one direction. Anyone heard of this?

My drivers side window was like that when I got my car. Up and down were switched. When I replaced the regulator everything was normal again. I figure it was just a bad window motor/regulator

where do you live that it gets 95 degrees in the summer in michigan? other then last summer it rarely makes it that high

North of Detroit. It got to 95° for two weeks straight last summer, and was in the 90's all around it. I just did city driving today and it stayed around 190 most of the time, and got to 195 max when driving in 25 mph streets.

But yes those temps are a little unusual to have as often as it was in MI. It's generally 85-90, and my 180° t-stat will not make a real big difference in my 90% city driving. It should just keep it from going over 205. Yes it's an engine and is designed to go higher than that, I just don't like it that high.

^^ I think I may put the car up on ramps sometime in the future and tighten up the hanger clamps a little to tuck the tips some more....Not think...I really need to do it, wow do they look crooked. whoops.
I could/should have spent more time on the tips, but they need more attention that I felt like giving them after work tonight.
Next nice weekend that I have off, I plan on a deep clean. The wheels need cleaned up too, so I may just have a polish all the metal day.

Finished the cooling system flush by filling and bleeding with green coolant, and cleaned my throttle body. No pics unfortunately, but it had a decent layer of carbon on it. Also cleaned the entrance to the UIM, and got tons of sludgy stuff out.

Thanks Jordo! Awesome job on your seats! I'm super jelly...lol.
So I don't have to search thru your posts....what was the name of the cleaner and conditioner you used? I'm trying to find one for mine and I haven't been totally happy with anything yet. Mine need some TLC bad.
