• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

GXP is screaming @ me to buckle up every time I take it somewhere. I appreciate its enthusiasm for my safety but I am already buckled up when it starts screaming at me. So Sry car you're just being a pain.

If its going off while I am unbuckled, thats my own fault. It was going off when I was buckled.

I still have the damn random air bag light though.

you got a frayed wire in the seat belt buckle wire i bet.

under the pass seat is the airbag module. they get corroded around the case and fail to ground out. seen vids where they were taken out, clean up, and it worked again. (some can be opened and cleaned further) in my case the the module was shot.

Guess that's what I'll do.

Also, I'll still use the 180°, it's already in the car. I do almost all city driving, and in 95° michigan summer temps, I'm sure it will be over 195. But if I notice it not getting near full temp enough I'll swap it out, I'll pay attention to the gauge.

where do you live that it gets 95 degrees in the summer in michigan? other then last summer it rarely makes it that high

if its off and on, that could be it. if its on all the time, its that module, or a clock spring 99% of the time. if not a dirty yellow plug somewhere.

a scan will tell you. auto body shops have this scanner, as they re set airbags a part of their daily job. mine was a clock spring when i had it scanned, but the car got flooded after the scan, changed the clock spring, and still on, swapped the module, and off it has been since.

got my front seats out, vacuumed cleaned under the seats with carpet cleaner, installed new seats.. no heat prewire.. went to start the car back up to move it outta the way, no start, just dead.. click and dead.. fiddled with the battery terminal i took off.. poof worked.. time to clean that terminal

Thanks Scott. Usually the light flashes at start up like it should. About 10 seconds after start up it will come on and stay on for a little while. Once I start driving it is on and off. I can't make it come on or off with turning the wheel one way or the other. Can't control it with throttle or cruising or anything like that either.

I'm in the middle of some work on the car right now. I will take a look at the module, then go from there. Last ditch will be to call a few auto body places and see what they will charge to scan it.

I had that on my GXP shortly after I first got it. The dealership ended up replacing a module under the passengers seat.

tire shine works great for multiple things, for example plastics in engine bay, some types of shine work good on the dash and all like armor all
