• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Considering cutting holes into the strut towers to make the fender vents do their job. Would it help? Maybe. Is it worth drilling holes? Ehh.

The purpose of fender vents on high performance cars is to remove high pressue from fast spinning tires. It is not to vent heat from the engine, because well, heat rises and wouldn't vent out the side.

I know this. But what's to stop the air from being sucked out the vents at speed? And they don't relieve pressure. The fenders would need to connect to the engine bay for even that to work.

its -8*C here and windchill is -21*C
and it snowed lastnight, and very light snowing right now. :p

I liked the weather fo rthe last week and a half, it was from light jacket to no jacket.

Factory venting is what would prevent the heat from going to openings in the strut towers.

Fender vents are designed to relieve pressure from the moving TIRES, not the engine compartment.

There are no openings in the wheel wells to allow pressure to escape through to the fender vents. I've looked. They're there for looks.

picked up the timing chain gasket set - and the timing chain and water pump says they should be here thursday
