• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

I drove the damn thing, seen 3 po po's on 240 that had folks pulled over. I swear they are really tearing up 240. I got my ticket the other day, but good news is the "hint" that the officer gave me seems to indicate that he's not showing up for court. Either way I will get a lesser plea if I do end up with something. So whatevs. As long as it don't go on my record/insurance.
Oh, and I had to do 70mph (5 over) on the way home, I was bored to tears I wanted to cry, so I bumped her up to 77 towards the end and said fug it, pull this pontiac over if ya want bishesssss. :th_nanana: jkjk. but seriously, I'll be strong.

Well I live in the city. 240 is pretty much I-40 wrapped around Memphis. Parts of it are 55 and parts are 65. To me, it's all 65. But to me, speed limits are suggestions. Given my recent ticket, I'm taking the suggestion seriously until the "new" wears off.

Apparently MPD had went on strike for something or did something where they weren't writing tickets, I forget what it was. But regardless what it was, they're back in full force. So when the new wears off, I'll bump it back up.

In Texas, limits are 75. I'm jelly as a mofo

I decided I was going to flush the hell out of my coolant system and get the Dexcrap out of there and replace it with green stuff.

In the process I found this

I'll probably try to tackle that next weekend.

did you do your gaskets too? or just flush the crap and run green instead?

Just flushed it. I drained everything. Filled it back up and drained it again without even running it. Filled it again with just water, ran it for 10 or 15 minutes, let it cool a few and drained it again. Filled it with coolant flush and topped with water and ran it again for 10 or 15 minutes.

After all that I hooked up one of those flush kits that come with all the fittings and crap. I installed the T using a piece of regular heater hose hooked to the outlet by the alternator and put the other end of the T in the stock line, because I wasn't about to permanently install it, and hooked my garden hose up and flushed the ever living sh!t out of it for 15 - 20 minutes.

ok, ill keep an eye on how it worked for ya lol..

i wanna drop my coolant too, maybe ill make josh do it if i head over the border lol

I'm thinking I might just put some RTV around the edge of the elbow to try to seal it. It's not leaking horribly, just seeping. I'll probably still pick the elbows up and keep them on hand just in case.

I was wondering why the hell I kept getting a hint of coolant smell. Now I know.

Planned a day of junkyard hopping to get a few pieces of interior that were messed up by the previous owner, all little stuff. Found it all at the first junkyard we went to. Replaced the shift boot, shift indicator, ash tray assy, top of the center console and a couple of other smaller pieces. Also got an S10 PCM bracket and a fuel pump for the fuel level indicator. All for $35 in one stop. Was a good day.

I'd say she looks pretty good for an 07 with almost 144,000 miles.
