• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

i attempted to apply my vinyl PONTIAC logo to the bumper but it was so cold my soap water froze right away ahhaa oh well guess well have to wait a while to put it on

Yeah they recommend that you install it 50°F and above. I didn't think anyone was crazy enough to do that outside in those temps lol. At least with the front one, you can bring the cover inside the house or garage and apply it in the warmth.
Today I was trying to mount my dash cam back on the windshield, but it was so cold that the cup wouldn't stick. I'd put my breath on it to help it stick, but that would freeze almost instantly on the windshield. I'd scrape the ice breath off and try again lol. Eventually I got it after turning the defrost vents on.

Filled up the tank with $2.00 a gallon 93 octane... Thank you Achmed, Mohamed and Nasser for drilling your little hearts out lol

Well I just won Chemical Guys Project J97 Paste Wax from Autopia Car Care's Christmas giveaway.

Check out the price of this wax. What do you guys & gals think?

It came in today. The container is billet aluminum. It's heavy.

I know it's not "today", but over Xmas vacation I have:
- Replaced my exhaust system (two stainless lifetime mufflers at the end)
- Lower intake manifold gasket (and elbows)
- Four new quick-struts
- Alignment (well I didn't do that part)
- Rebalanced all of my tires (I *did* do that part, since I have my own tire machines - rides smooth as glass now)
- New rear brakes
- Replaced the three rear spark plugs & wires while the engine was apart for LIM gasket (fronts will come soon enough)
- Ran wiring for my Subwoofer amp
- Changed my highbeams to Silverstar Ultras
- Replaced my alternator

It feels like even more than that, but I guess that's all I've done.

p.s. We also pulled the drivetrain module out of another '04 that I totaled, and I'm going to junk.

I should lol.

But I'll throw it up on a lift tomorrow at work and see where it's coming from. It's on the pulley side, so either weep hole on the pump or the rear coolant elbow because the front is not wet.

Drove it to work in the snow. Went to the gas station topped her off for 20 bucks. Used the windshield cleaner to wipe off my headlights lol. Then I drove home from work that's where this pic came from cause it's filthy now. And I got my sd card for my go pro so let the winter hooning videos commence in my buddies subaru and power stroke and c10 eventually. Also my new boots came in the mail and I got to work my full shift. All in all a good day

Got my soup container with a lid today.
Also bought some valvoline maxlife semisynthetic oil and an upgraded larger filter for the impala for the oil pan change.

This will bring it from the normal 4.5-4.7 ish oil change to 5 quarts

wanted to see if the dhp would read abs codes in my regal, seems 98 is a no go. but it did find a 0706 code. came back to range selection performance or some crap. cleared it, has not come back yet.

Found the coolant leak, one of the elbows was seeping. Broke off in the LIM and bracket upon removal.

11 bucks later for some new aluminum ones and a warm shop at work and it's fixed.
