Approached a neglected-looking black base with an inferno hood today at a gas station after seeing it for the past couple years, offering to buy it. But then I saw the other side. The fiberglass was bent and paint was spiderweb cracked because of a collision with a deer last week. Sad day.
 


Had the VC's off for a gasket replacement, so I figured I's dress them up a bit:

Gonna let the black dry. Then mask off the tops of the ribs. Everything else will be wrinkle grey.
 


I haven't gotten to do much other than drive it, been working 60+ hours for 3 weeks. That translates to things happening to the car soon, rockers, remote start, I haven't made up my mind though.

That god damned RPM drop still happens at coasting speeds though,
 
How so i fix said spring, does it just come off. I've tried bending it but no luck.

And its clean, then i take one pass down the driveway and its ruined.

Mine did that when I first got mine, owner says he sprayed it with wd-40 every month and that kept it working fine. I used transmission fluid on it, kinda dowsed it, and for the last 2 years it's been fine.
