Slotting the struts is the more correct way to do it, and it's not abnormal for them to need that kind of work.

You are just paying the labor to get it done. A standard alignment at my work is 80 bucks, then can be another 40-60 per axle if we need to take the time and slot struts or do something else.

You aren't getting raped, you are just paying for what needed to be done.
 


$120 for 4 wheel alignment and the rest is labour. Hopefully get the car back tomorow, change the oil Sat. then we'll see what breaks next.
 
On the way to work today I was INCHES from getting hit by some idiot. I mean inches, If I didn't react as fast as I did, today would be a really bad day. The brakes could have been a little better too but man that was close. Got it on my dash cam, read and said aloud the license, that's going on youtube.
 
I drove it & didn't enjoy it after reading my avg MPG of the DIC. 16.5. I wanna blame the recent extreme cold, and complete lack of highway driving and not assume my tranny is going bad again.
 
Just finished getting the car back on the ground and off the jack stands. Put new black lug nuts on the rims and added the carbon fiber on the center caps. Plus some other odds and ends.
 


Pulled the pinstripe and got one of two new headlight assemblies installed. Other one hasn't arrived yet. Replacing Thermostat gasket tomorrow most likely.
 
Amazing how much better she'll look from the front with nice crystal clear headlights replacing those horribly oxidized ones..

I began Phase 1 of a 2041s4sfg3 Phase operation.

Also slid through an intersection that was solid ice this morning (we had about 4" of rain the last 2 days and it dipped to 22 last night (-6C for those in that other place we don't speak of)) Was nice. I was only doing about 15mph, slid right between 2 cars going N/S as I was going west.

Car is getting a bath tomorrow, and Phase 2 will commence

Yeah it was weird. At first it was just about avoiding him and hoping I didn't get hit. It wasn't until about 4 seconds after it happened that I actually got nervous.
This is the first time in 1.5 years of owning my car that has happened. On the way home today another thing happened that very could have been an accident, and I may have ended up in it if it did happen.

I kid man I never wish that on anyone.. Thankful you weren't driving like a douche and was paying attention to be able to avoid him.

Yeah when it comes to driving I don't make exceptions. I hardly ever listen to the radio in city driving. You never know when someone's gonna do something completely reckless.
