What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

yeah... no. lol

The heaters only bring it up to about 40-50 degrees above ambient, so when it's -40 out the coolant is almost 0*. lol

never have to really crank it though, even then.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Bought 3 oil filters for it since I don't like any of the filters at Walmart. I'd recommend these. They're the larger filter, good quality, and really good price on Amazon. At least for now.

For some reason the larger filter is cheaper than the one that's supposed to go on our cars.

24011 is the larger
10111 is the stock size. They use different letters before either number to determine the type

The thing I can't figure out is why they have two filters under the same number. PL10111 can be a Purolator one, or a Purolator Pureone. Different filter for sure. I wonder if the Purolator one is their new line, replacing the old and keeping the part#. It came in a very new type of box lol

Purolater pure one yellow is what I used to use and now they switcher to this new blue one in the funny box. Hope it's the same great filter. Feels pretty well built solid shell. have now. It one apart yet.

Thats what I assumed, seems just as well built as the Pureone. I'll compare both when I am done using this new one. I have my old pureone saved still unopened.
Edit: old one meaning used filter, not taken apart yet.

I bought a new masterpiece over the weekend. 02 Park Avenue with lots of miles. No rust. Only problems are the gas gauge is broke and it had a flat tire. Got it for the princely sum of $650. Winter beaters are awesome.

Spent most of Christmas Eve replacing coolant elbows, spark plugs and wires, air filter, oil change, and fixing said flat tire. Only thing I still have to do is find out which pulley makes a squeaking noise every so often.

I never did keep the 03 limited edition. The day I titled it after fixing the intake gasket, a friend's wife crashed her car and came up to Tim Horton's asking if I had a car for sale....

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Went and got my old MTX powered subwoofer and JVC head unit that I had in my old Hyundai. I sold the car to my wife's sister 3 years ago and the tranny went out so they are scrapping it. I said "$50 for the subwoofer and stereo". Sold. Now just need to get it installed in the prix.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Shoveled the driveway, brushed off the car, rinse and repeat for what seams like for-fawking-ever.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Towed my old Hyundai Accent to the junkyard yesterday evening. Sketchy. 14 foot tow rope, no power brakes, only e-brake.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

I thought about what I wanted to do to it, and realized I've got 2 months until I can even touch it again.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Replaced rotors and pads all around with R1 Concepts drilled/slotted with ceramic pads.

your gonna like them brakes. even the stock replacements have to be a huge improvement.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

they only get better feeling as the miles add up. hard to believe that they could get better the next day, but they do for the first 500 miles.
