Fixed the dash needles for good but lost one of the two screws that holds the dash in..... Oh well

Great fun working back there huh? GM assembly line did that work through the rear (dashboard/shelf/whatever it's called) When I did my rear struts I was like who the eff is the lucky guy/gal who gets to do this for a living? Then I noticed the holes in the rear shelf thing, and I'm like I get it, they sock those things up before the back glass even goes in. Easy for them, have fun you guys swapping these out later. I'm all shoulders and elbows back there, and really short on patience...GRRRRR!

I'm crawling in my trunk at 11 last night and the passenger rear was movable. Cranked both down with an allen and 7/8s offset(supposed to be 21mm which I keep forgetting to get)
Then wailed the 15s on the mounts.

Fixed the damn clunk.....finally.

Went to change oil & filter in the wifes car (2007 Corolla-S)... What a pain in the ass it turned out to be. Oil filter was seized on good! I didn't replace it last oil change, just did the oil. Well, the son-of-a-b***h was stuck. Tried this way, tried that way, tried penetrating oil, let it cool down, etc. etc. Would not budge! And, I've spent enough dough on the GTP this month, so I'll be damned to buy another tool. Ended up pounding a screw driver through the bottom, did this twice cuz angle of first hole was bad. Smacked the screw driver with a hammer and broke the seize, then filter came right off. A little unorthodox and risky, but worked great.

I've used the ole hammer and screwdriver solution many times on stubborn oil filters, especially after a lube tech gets his hands on a car. I'm convinced they over torque the filters to discourage car owners from changing their own oil because "oh, what a pain in the ass last time, I'll pay someone else to do it next time." F*** 'em. I spent a good 30 minutes getting the oil filter off my $600 turd just a couple weeks ago. Three of us took turns failing to pull it off by hand until I gave up and got out the screwdriver. Extra annoying as I was wrapping up an intake gasket job and was two hours late for a car meet lol

I've done at least 400 some oil changes in my rather short span working on cars. Never had to stab a screwdriver through one, but I have had some extremely difficult ones. I use the large jaw tool thats got 3 adjustments like channel locks. I had one that I had a grip on, that I had actual channel locks on the grips of the tool, then slid a pipe over the tool and got a lot of leverage before breaking one free. Of course it pierces the filter gripping that hard. Still got it in one piece, it was a Valvoline filter lol.

On others we have the large cup set that goes on the end of the filters, they all have that on the end. You put a 3/8ths ratchet on those, and you get all the torque you could dream of. Those are nice but the set is pretty large. And you'll never figure out how to stack them all the way it came so it will never fit in the case and fully close lol.

Put red LEDs in the passenger door switches. They're brighter and a true red color, stock was a bit pinkish lol. I can't get a good picture of it, my phone just makes it look weird

Blue you've got a lot of time on your hands dont'cha? Those do look nice and bright red. I have gone psycho on a 710 filter a couple times.

While I was doing a maintainance clean on the GTP awhile ago, 2 F18s flew very low and slow right over me. That was cool. No, you can't see them in the hood, lol. Too fast for this old man. Speaking of which... it don't get much stocker than this-

No I actually have very little time on my hands lol. I work 50 hours a week and usually have plans on weekends. Today i lazed most of the day till then lol.
I also found a really easy way to replace those bulbs. After you pull the switch panel off, just remove the back cover on the switches. Just the plastic cover comes off, which includes the bulb. You have to align the switch pins back up with the slots when putting it back on.

That does look mostly stock. Fix that! Lol retros and tint are awesome

Well I drove my car an hour away to pick up BMR lateral links and trailing arms for $120. Yes only $120. I already have brand new BMR tailing arms on the car but another set was included so I'm gonna figure out what to do there. I will be reconditioning all the BMR stuff I just picked up before install.

Edit: Okay the trailing arms are BMR but the lateral links are HT/Arraut Motorsports but I was told it was all BMR. Anyways the price was good and the lateral links are gonna be a good upgrade so I'm not pissed.

I washed and towel dried the GP today. Went looking at head units for it. Still undecided. So many options. I'm going to miss the two bass and treble sliders in the stock stereo. Seems like you have to dig way into settings anymore to adjust them on aftermarket head units.

Hit 125k on the 02 on Friday I believe. Trying to get it finished up and the interior back together. One of the things on that list is my TRS relay harness, it's been acting goofy and getting worse. Just sent a message to TRS today finally. Pretty much have no high beams whenever I need them. Testing purposes they work fine. And one headlight stays on after I shut them off for like a minute. Again intermittently. Got a video for TRS back when it started happening, guess I'll post it here too.
