What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

I drove it a little bit, LTFTs are still all over the place. Lol

I think it's getting to the point where pulling it apart will be necessary, and slowly start "fixing" the trans...

Yay.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Swapped to a 97-03 LCA/Swaybar setup on my buddy's 04. Holy **** trying to wedge the bar in without lowering the subframe is a motherfudger.

But it worked out and the 97-03 sway bar doesn't touch the exhaust?

Lol I didn't even check was trying to get it done, I "flipped" it as a mod I guess lolo. But it should clear fine. Moms lacrosse which is the same car pretty much has a 97-03 style factory.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Yeah I know it's been done, but to me it looks like there's much less room on the 04+. That's on the list for my 06

06+ went back to the 97-03 style LCA's anyway, so there shouldn't be any clearance issues with the downpipe.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

I went to a local car show today and didn't feel a need to even take the camera out of my pocket. That was meh. There were several GTOs, those made it worth the effort of walking through. I did drive the GTP to it.

And I noticed last night i rolled past 20K on the 69's odometer. Man we been lotsa places.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Ha! Purple land yacht finally needed something. My half arsed HEI power wire had wiggled around too much at the very professional hanging fuse. A crimp came loose so I re-did the mess with a new fuse and connector. Burnouts til doomsday.

Yeah it wasn't till half way through the 06 production year that they changed back to the 97-03 style LCA's so saying 06.5 would be more accurate and same goes for the metal LIM gaskets.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Yup. Realized it had plastic gaskets a week after buying it. I wasn't expecting that either, being its an 06. Should have bought one just 6 months newer and it would have been so much better lol

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

After probably a month trying to get in touch with a guy with a GTP tranny, he finally called me back with one today. So my '99 which I've owned since July and never driven could be rolling by the end of the week.

That's very surprising cause it's easy as hell for me. I do always disconnect the passenger side outer tie rod tho.

We tried. I beat the **** out of it to pop it out of the knuckle, it would not budge. If it would have came out we could have easily got it in.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0

Must have been an aftermarket tie rod, all OEM parts pop real easy on these cars. The lower ball joint just require a pry bar and it's off lol. I've separated my dorman control arms once, they're not that easy.
