while its wet still. id hose test the f out of it. start low with the hose, (cowl and bottom of the windshield) looking for leaks, and go higher till you see water.

this is a two person job really. some one has to be inside looking while it get the hose.

My solution was to knife out both football sections of the carpet in front, in my GT. The only way to truly dry all that out is to hang up the carpet and let it run out by gravity. Then squish out some more and give it about a week. I knocked holes in the floor too so it can drain. It's like an $800 car so who cares if the carpet is cut. I can put the dried sections back in and the cut isn't really noticeable. Beats hell out of chasing leaks, I did that at a GM dealer for several years. These cars like to pour water in past the mirror area and if the angle is right it drips against the door liner about even with the front of the sill trim. If the door weather liner is not stuck there you get a stream coming from behind the trim panel. Thats why there's a shield hanging there inside the door shell. There was also somebody here not long back that replaced hinge bushings and I think they said that helped. If part of the scalp molding seal (top of door) is partly missing, the inner weatherstrip can get too much water on top of it too.

my car got flooded 5 years ago or so, parked in a flood zone, not good lol it was late fall and it took 2 weeks hung up to dry out. thats after using a shop vac on the foam and ringing it out.

my whole carpet was soaked, seats too. i rode around for two weeks all mad max style with only the drivers seat, nothing else. its amazing how much sound the carpet drowns out.

you got the right idea tho. prop the rug up with sticks and blow the fan at it. might want a bigger stronger fan tho lol

Gonna give it a day or so and see what happens. If it wasn't cloudy I'd bake the car out in the sun. Threw a trickle charger on it just in case...

you can rub that b/s in too. once dry it all comes up. i know the paste looks scary, its fine tho.

When my glass shop messed up installing my new windshield, they took the car back from me for about 24 hours. They propped up the carpet and had two large industrial shop fans blowing on it the whole time. All good.

Your little desk fan might need a few weeks to dry things out. LOL

Got pulled over in the gp for the first time today. Dude thought I wasn't wearing a seatbelt.. almost made me late for my first day of school

A guy from AAA was at my neighbor's yesterday and was apparently wanting to buy my purple car real bad. I have the number but no desire. She said she told him if was for sale and that I wanted 4-6 grand. At this time, I'm not listening unless thats an eight. And I ain't calling. If somebody wants it, the 72 and all Pontiac V8 parts must be taken away with it. Grape will probably give me trouble now that she heard sell talk from them while I wasn't around. I'll have to pet softly and talk sweet to her now, she may have hurt feels.
