nothing to the car, but the lawn mowers once again lol

round of oil changes for all.

the small stander got (front right) its engine re installed after the crank bolts snapped off for no reason, had to have a machine shop get it out and re tap the crank.

whats nuts is whats in this pics is worth around 23,000 brand new. not including that 15 year old toro walk behind pos in the back left lol

Got around to swapping a new subframe in, pulled the HU in the GP, will eventually be swapped into the charger once I get the new navigation bezel painted

Those purple chargers do look good when they are done right.

Not yet probably later in the year when it's not so damn hot, paints not so bad so it really can wait, I threw some wax on it last week and that's all. I'll be using a pair of fxr 3.0 when the time comes since I already have a pair sitting on the shelf no point in spending money on another pair of projectors when those are good. The later year srt8 (2010s) came with factory halogen projectors so I'll be be grabbing a set of theot eplacement headlights and retro'ing those to keep the OEM shroud and look hopefully.

Took the GTP out for a longer trip than usual this past Sunday. Longest ride since I started doing a lot of repairs that began in January. Went from home in Chicago, IL to Paw Paw, MI and back. Drove great but getting really low boost. Maybe 3-4 ticks on the built in factory gauge. Time for a new boost actuator, I was told. Went up there to work on an old farm house that belongs to a good friend. Sits on 30 acres. Looking forward to many trips out there this summer.

So I got these at the junk yard and I really don't want to screw these up. I remember reading that it works best with two rpm needles from an 04+?

I can't find a write up on how to do it but it can't be that hard right?

been having something that goes against everything I've learned on here... the transmission is starting to shift better all on its own. I'll put up a new thread, but by all rights this should not be happening and I don't know if it's a precursor to something actually breaking.

Obviously. Lol but it's sufficiently weird enough to bring up. Especially given the track record of the 4T65E....

Happily drove it for the first time in a week. Now that it's driveable again I plan to replace all the pads, the rear rotors & have the fronts turned & get a new rear wheel bearing. Car ownership man. It's the bees knees.

Pontiac ownership is the cat's pajamas. :th_sign-pontiacs: Today was normal = happy. Floored the GTP thrice. Nice evening, might go for a spin with GT or J.

Brought some speakers and a Sony stereo from the 80s to work and set it up. Much better!

I ruined my tires. :D fresh asphalt on a long straight country road, a unicorn behind my engine... Today was a good day.

Even though I'm doing retros, I thought I'd practice cleaning up headlights. I did my second one a lot better than the first.
