What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Watch the first set of Jack stands when lifting the other side. If the jack doesn't roll when you lift, it will start tipping the stands.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

i just had the whole car in the air, jack stands in the rear on both sides, then jack to front middle sub frame tri pod lift lol

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

If you're not in the rust belt, you can just jack up one side at a time. Only rotate front to rear if you have directional tires.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

All went well with rotation but on the way down the jack bent the rear jack point... Is there a way to fix that?

Ill take a picture tomorrow if need be. Its just too dark now

Finished getting the GT2 tore down (LIM and Penium were left), forgot about the two bolts in the LIM, lol. Gasket time!

Crescent wrench or channel locks. Start at the least bent part and work your way toward the worst part, in small bites. Touch up any cracked paint. I use a wood block next to the flange there sometimes because that area is fairly bendy.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Bought a gen III blower and lim for 20 bucks... JY was liquidating. Also picked up a PCM and satellite radio module for a 97-03 GP. too bad I don't have a 97-03 lol

handle with care lol

that zzp strut, i wonder who they stole that idea from? hmmmmm

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

It says they are BC racing ones. Not the highest of quality coilovers, but people run them on other cars and reviews are hit and miss. The coilovers I have on my Stealth (Megan Racing) I love, but have other people that have bought and installed them on their own car and hated them.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

the truck i bled the hydro boost on got driven today for the first time, took about a hr of driving then then the brakes just started to really work well. they always had fade, but also no pedal, so i think the pads needed to be burn in again lol stops like a new truck now.

I will or dan will kill me. So far I managed to get DHP installed without any big issues, scan my car to get my bin, setup tiny tuner, and setup a bin to "get me home" (which is just a stock gtp bin with trans stuff from a GT should work ok) after my top swap until I can have a a friend street tune me . I'll have to start reading into this stuff more.

damn, you either A) are damn good with a pc. or B) read every dhp post and was able to figure it out easy/fast lol

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Booba sent me a Readme and files, followed them. Got DHP installed. Went to register the cable and it wouldn't register. Well my laptop has been a pain in the dick recently, I had to do some registry changes for it actually download windows updates so it never found the keyspan drivers. Manually found them, boom registered instantly.

Tiny tuner I had to find a updated database for it to read this bin to get that working.

So far so good other than the cable being 20ft long lol
