someone said the show room at zzp was barren of 3800 stuff. not that they stopped selling stuff.

well I looked on their online store and there was nothing available for anything.... Except maybe one of the oil neck spacers...lol no exhaust, suspension, brakes, gaskets... It was barren. Void of life. Kinda peaceful. Lol

But now everything is back. Like nothing happened.... Except there's a Cobalt long block in the 3800 engine category.

I'm with WarStryker. I looked myself this morning and there was hardly anything listed for the 3800.

Was so busy with work and other things didn't get time to put my GT2 back together until the last couple days, got her all together with fresh oil, ect. still ticking like it was its job - decided to drive to a mechanic, so threw some water in the coolant system, put it in reverse and after 20 feet the ticking stopped.... drove it a few miles, no tick, lol. So, guessing it hydrolocked and it just needed to work the air bubble(s) out? So, new VC gaskets and grommets and upper and lower intake gaskets are on there way, fingers crossed it all comes in Saturday.

Speaking of ZZP, I bought some injector adapters off them. Got an email after my order saying they were 2 weeks out before they would have em. Once i got them, they dont fit for **** on the GTP injectors i have. The retaining clip just slides off the injector. I'm probably going to put a small dot of JB weld on them to hold it.

Whelp, pretty sure the GXP is toast. Driving home tonight it started shifting weird and I could actually smell the transmission.

Did the ignition switch saver mod lol. My soldering iron was not up to the task of 10ga wire lol seems good enough now and seems to have fixed the problem.

I had the same issue and result with the wiring. LOL

Two months later and I haven't had one symptom come up, so this mod did its job. :th_thumbsup-wink:

If i was to do it again I'd get a 3 way crimp connector thing or a soldering gun.

Been looking to purchase a new DD for a good bit now, was having no luck findng anything that fit the bill.. Low miles, v8, non CVT trans and spotted this gem about a month ago and kept my eye on it and drove 2 hrs and pulled the trigger today.
