What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

its gonna have a few days to cure, hope its not to bad, but it cant be as bad the smell of new exhaust system burning in could it? they tend to smell for a few days.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

headers fix that, but then you want your boost back so the 3.4 comes into play lol then a tuner, cause once you get the itch....

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

I fixed my e85 tune a bit. Was running a little off. Not bad, just not perfect.

Oh and I put on the 2.8.

car feels slow now lol

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Rolled 185k miles. It was a sad day indeed. Not that I hit 185k, but that I wanted to be rid of the car before I hit that mileage.

My goal now is to be rid of it before I hit 190k, or by the end of June.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

My boss replaced my resonator for me today on my 06. Problem was the Walker replacement was the exact same length as the original. So 0 overlap to work with. He got creative and dismantled the old resonator while it was still connected to reveal that inside the resonator the pipe actually goes a ways inside there. So he used that to make the pipe long enough. Just had to grind the weld where the resonator body was. Pretty cool. Took a while to do though.

Nice to see rockers in one piece unlike another car of mine

Lol I would have liked a weld. I may weld it if I hear any sound at all from it

Drove the GXP downtown to a local Martini bar & came across this gem;

A Martini liveried Alfa 4C

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

installed new cat back. for the record this ebay cat back is 100% silent.....i love it lol any one ever heard my pulley in a vid? hardly hear it you say???? now all you hear is whine lol

the old muffler inlet must have been 1/2 rotted through and letting the pipes flex or something, cause the car sounds so much more solid now.

the kit did f me on a few clamps, it had the two muffler clamps, then one more for the res, but i re used my band clamp on that, then you need two 2.5 clamps for the y pipe.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

If I was intent on keeping my car I'd get one of those ebay catbacks to replace mine. All I plan on doing now is to throw a few welds on a few small holes and call it good. Let the next owner deal with it.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

scotty was all up hoe about welding it up.... then clamped:th_tongue2:
