What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

ive run snow tires just up front, you get around better still. but all 4 does feel better.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

It does. But so does more money in the wallet! :th_winking: On FWD, having winters in front is still infinity better than all seasons.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

haha
That's what happens when it has a right front tire with barely any tread and a left tire with not much more. I drove a LaCrosse for my first two semesters with just winters in front and half-tread alls in back, and it did quite well, but you could still drift in the parking lot if needed. hehe

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Anything with tread...

KP, your pic gave me a flashback. Those LeSabres are the car I've fixed more than any other kind. In a dealer body shop when they were late models, lol. First welding job was a uniside replacement on one that color, even. Looks like the wheel didn't get hit, thats good.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Wow! Yeah, the wheel is good. We'll bend out the fender until I run across a white one on Craigslist, go the the JY and get lights for now. It could have been worse, at least my first accident wasn't with another car, lol. Glad it wasn't with my car though, finding Silvermist parts are really hard. And I'd have wrecked my new bumper I just put on, lol.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

I don't know which has which, but some of those had fiberglass fenders originally. Never made much sense, but it seems like I remember something that was a pain about switching to steel. Whatever I got, I put on. I bet theres a few in the boneyard that have one of each kind. Yours looks metal. I think it was early ones. Anyway, yeah theres quite a few parts involved in those bumpers. Sucks you had a scrape, been there.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

got my 04 style needles in yesterday, man what a difference in looks! also found a 10" memphis sub with 600 watt amp at a local junkyard this past weekend. Paid $30 for both and put it in my '02 gtp and sounds great. got a gen v with a 2.5 pulley going in hopefully this weekend if all is good and have a set of 1.95 yella terra rockers as well. just have to get some 90# springs and retainers and they will be put in.

Filled both tanks. First time the price increased as I was pulling away, second it increased as I was paying... By .40. I was about to walk back and say give me the old price or my money back, but I was almost on fumes.

Because they are mostly driven by old people? My folks had one for many years, so I can say that. :th_laugh-lol2:

Fixed a lot because I worked at a Buick / Olds / GMC / Mercedes dealer. They got wrecked a lot maybe because they were popular among them that came before us. A bodyman never knows the who, why, or how. Truth is you don't even get to be old by being stupid.
