Late 01 to 02 have the ls6 intake. Still a ls1 motor but more efficient ls6 intake and no egr. And a couple of other things here and there

Stopped at speedy lube place on the way home from work for an oil change, cuz apparently I can't find time to do it myself.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

i love how clean the oil is in my new engine. its the first time i've had to use the holes in the stick to verify theres oil on the stick lol

only time ive had oil changed at a lube place my friend was the manager and it was free, so why not right?

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

See I do a super thorough oil change, I usually rotate the tires so I let it drain for a long time. I'll jack it up more, more oil will come out. Then intentionally set it on one jack stand and lower the other side, more oil comes out lol. In the end it's super clear for a few weeks. Call me crazy but it can't hurt lol

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

And pour the extra 1/2 quart through to flush out any remaining old oil too right ? ;)

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Nope, haven't reached that level of crazy lol. Gonna save that so I get a "free" one after 10 oil changes. Well 9 actually.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

On a steel pan.. it's almost a lost cause. There is about 3/8" of oil below the level of the plug.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Does anyone know if they make "wheel floaties" for cars? I might need a set to float to and from work.

This rain is just stupid now. We had 7" from Saturday morning to yesterday at 11pm and then another 3.5 from 11 to this morning.

There.is.water.everywhere.

Um, that's what I did. :th_scratchhead:

Don't listen to Red and his squirrel powers...
Noted. :th_biggrin2:

Absolutely. I change my oil every 5-7000km, and I was at 12,000km since the last one, and had topped it up twice, and no free time in my near future. $50 well spent IMO.
