What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Never underestimate how dumb people are, that's why as the driver..you need to try and keep their stupidity from clouding your judgement.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

When I was young and stupid, I used to carry one of these in the glove box.....

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Sold the RX for $6500

Mind you, I'd paid $2500 two weeks prior. A thorough detail, some head and tail lights, a rear wiper, and an oil change later...

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

in other news NJ sucks BALLS! i went back to get re inspected today. these assholes ran the whole car through every test again, when it had all passed before hand. only this time it has a cat but the god damn evap is not ready, so i failed, hows that for BS.

and i got stuck behind two pre 96 cars, thos get the hood popped hooked up under there and a sniffer test where they hold the rpms at X for X amount of time. so it took like a whole 15 minutes to get through, just to be failed.

now the waiting game for evap readiness.

oh, and it got its first hand car wash of the year. many more to follow lol

Scotty, Scotty, monitors not ready. You of all people. :th_laugh-lol2:

The city I live in has had a bylaw for many years..... "No self serve gas stations". Guess where I don't buy my gas.

see the way it used to be is, if it passed already theres no need to re test it, but i guess that changed, as i knew it was not ready yet.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

you dont know what? drive em nice and soft for a day or two, they will then all of a sudden work like never before.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

I'm just starting to think that you might have had really s***** stock calipers lol. I've only done the break in procedure that Hawk requires. I have to let them cool and then out to play but I think I might do the break in procedure twice just to be sure

Idk to me it would be scary 1 lane away from a car flooring it, but that's just me. Intake is nice and loud too.

i dont do any break in crap no more. just drive it easy for a day or two, slow long light braking only, then bam brakes f ing work great. and no warped rotors or glazed pads.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

put it together, drive it, make sure it stops at all, makes sure it doesnt make any noise (but sometimes when it does... fukkit.) and call it a day.

the parts i have to use are cheap junk anyways so i know they'll be back soon.. not my fault. lol
