What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Put my roof rails on, debadged it today. My roof rails are a little lighter than the blue on the car, ordered the right touchup paint will do that next week.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

My instructor used loctite on his bracket bolts on his sierra 2500, we had to use a breaker bar with a long pipe over it until it was only in about 3 threads left. Took like 10 minutes per bolt, it was crazy. No impact gun would touch it.

I use a dab of red never a problem removing them. I think to many people overdo it with the locktite.

Yeah who knows. I just know those had some sort of loctite, can't remember the color.

Navy, I'll raise your grease undercoating for my either ATF or PS fluid undercoating lol.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Nah it seems hydraulic fluids like trans or p/s seems to evaporate, and wash off after a rain or two. Grease is still holding pretty well, some of the rusty spots look a bit more dry though.
