What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

change my busted rear sway bar for a used, but in pretty good shape police taxi one. greased the bar at the bushings and loaded her up.

before i took the old one out i did a push down test on the rear corners, it was pretty soft, after the new bar its much firmer to push down and it looks to have raised the rear a little bit.

over all being the old one was busted off on one side this one feels a metric ton better, no more squeak or rattle from the rear end too. cars much more solid feeling over bumps and handles less like a boat now lol

thanks again to buickman. :th_thumb-up::th_thumb-up:

I still cant believe you old guys didnt understand the blower noise, very disappointing.

Good to see atleast someone can finish something around here instead of the recent multi bailers.

I still can't believe one of those people in that sway bar didn't swing a chair at the terrorist.

Finally replaced the boost bypass solenoid on the GTP with a new one just now. Thats an item parts store kids will look at you funny for asking about, even if you word it like its in their computer lol. Bought it off some chick with face piercings and dreadlocks.

What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Did nothing to the GP.. Hard to be motivated to go out and work on the damn thing when it's been it the upper 90s.

I did pull the deck from the GP and installed it in the charger, I got fed up not having a aux cord.

Stock

Temporary

Using the temporary dash kit and bezel until my color matched factory one arrives, was lucky enough to find one meant for the charger that came with factory navi since they've been discontinued for quite some time. I'll have to modify the dash kit a bit since it hits anytime I eject a cd. Ordered a backup camera from China also while I was at it.

I drove it for the first time since Thursday. Been sitting at my aunt's while I was at the races.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Put a shift kit in, changed the oil and tinted the tails and reverse light bar... because black looks cool. lol

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

I finally took time out for the car and washed it up, wiped the interior down and also took care of the wife's car. A clean car feels so much better

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Picked up a jump drive to save the 3,000 plus photos off my old broke @$$ laptop. While I was at it I printed some of said photos. Most were family photos & a few were of the old GTP. Man I miss that thing;

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

bill and kyle had a race one day, kyles car is a 06 na iirc, and has a over kill tune modless pretty much.

bills car was a GS with the hd tranny and it blew the engine up, so he popped in a l26 with a l67 tb on it and open cone filter. the tranny was built up tho.

these two raced and came out pretty much dead even. like they both claim they won lol
Cause I did win and with less mods and more weight in the car lol

IIRC in the event that your motor did catch fire help to keep it contained l. I ripped mines out 7 years ago and never looked back

You are very welcome Scotty! I am glad you liked the upgrade!

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Those electronic latch assemblies are expensive to buy new. The drivers side rear door on my crew cab had one go bad during the winter, wouldn't even stay latched to keep the door closed. Dealers wanted over $100 just for one, had to find one online.
