What did you do to your car today? Vol 2.0

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

next time, put a jack under the middle rear of the frame, back the two rear sub frame bolts out 2 inches, and then lower the jack to the bolts. but leave the frames weight on the jack still, dont let it hang on the bolts.

This!

Makes all the difference in the world.

I gotcha... I saw a YouTube video of a guy putting a bar in that did that. I was thinking about it but just never did it

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Removing/installing a swaybar without dropping the subframe is a pain I've done it before and hated every single second of it. Dropping the subframe makes it way to easy.

its sure does.

this is the frame lowered like 5 inches. but the racks out, so you dont go that far or you'll rip the steering shaft out. but look at that sway bracket bolt just asking to be removed now lol

Woohoo figured it out. I need a diode on the turn signal wire. A couple solder joints, and I'll be in business!

Really wishing I'd blown money on an Inferno Spoiler already. The price has gone way up from $279 to $424. Wth?!

It ugly you don't need it anyway lol

And all I did was start my junk up today let it idle for 5 min or so since it hasn't been started in like 8 days. And it's gonna be cold this week

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Went back to the JY and scored the color matching hood and rear bumper from the same car that I scored the front one from, a new pass. side tailight, 2 brand new front corners and some misc parts for $150. At this rate I won't need to paint anything to make it look nice again, just swap it out and go. So much cheaper and less hassle than new paint. All I need now is to order new carpet and recover the headliner and I'll have basically everything refreshed and looking nice again once I gut the interior and install the GXP seats and whatnot. Should be getting tint while the package tray is out as well.

Drove it 360 miles

got a system setup. Two alpine type x 12" with two alpine pdx 600 amps and power cap. Custom box was 400$

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

I installed LEDs in the tail lights (194s) and reverse lights, and I've been fighting with the ****ing front ones for 3 hours. No matter what I do, I can't get the 194s and the 3156a's to work together. The parking lights will not work. I have voltage at the pins, but the light won't work. Here's the thing. I install an incandescent 194 and the parking lights on the 3156a work great. Passenger side works, but the parking light seems to be a little dim....any ideas?

You got cheap LED's.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Nope, there was voltage being back fed through the turn signal wire. I mentioned the fix above, a diode on the turn signal wire. The problem I'm running into now is the 194s are causing the turn signal dash indicators to (dimly) light up with the parking lights. Same principle, but I'm still trying to figure out the fix.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0

Tried replacing my o2 sensor with a standard deep well 7/8ths socket and cutting the wires...didn't work. These are some long o2 sensors. So drove with no working upstream sensor for a couple miles to the part store to buy the correct socket. Cel didn't come on til I got back home lol. Its in now, we'll see if the gas mileage and minor running issues get better.
