I believe the answer to this is because of the worn contacts on the switch. Read this.... http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=20670&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1&cookieCheck=465710715I'm thinking switch but why it would work without load from the blower I don't quite understand.
When I was researching the ignition switch last year, I did find that a lot of people just did the relay and were fine. I say go for it.I might try the relay for the time being. If it's only doing it under load that should help (for now) and because then I'm hacking into the switch harness and not main car harness which is OK by me lol. Plus new one is $80, eff that.
I was looking and it was 80 shipped, amazon wants 110. Maybe being Canadian is messing it up for you lol. I have to order tie rods for the monte so I threw in a 4 pin relay and some flag connectors and it only cost me $4 more. Coupon codes are awesome. Then I have to get some wire and more connectors at Menards because I lost all mine someplace.I paid $66US for my Delco switch back in 2014. Glad I got it back then as our dollar was at par with yours. Today that same switch would have cost me $92 CDN.
Yikes! RockAuto wants $97US for that switch.
I order in stealth mode and pretend to be 'Merican. LOLI was looking and it was 80 shipped, amazon wants 110. Maybe being Canadian is messing it up for you lol.
And that is better than what it was; 30% just a few weeks ago. I have a PO box in Blaine, WA, so I don't pay for shipping to Canada. Me a smart shopper. LOLhttps://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=cdn usd exchange rate
this is whats wrong cnd is worth 77 cents to a us dollar. so hes paying 25% more with his money, plus the shipping and fees to get it to Canada.
But our new Prime Minister is so good looking. LOLMove to Merica problem solved
