what are your temps?

What are your all around temps? Its been 90+degrees in Detroit so i have been monitoring all my temps. My coolant and trans stay around 200* in thedaytime. Trans got to 220 today in a traffic jam. Motor is around 190-210. Intake temps are usually between 85-100. Today was 125. No clue what the temps are after my s2ic...what should theybe around and what are your temps at during the summer? Any suggestions for running any cooler?

Intercoolers raise ECT/trans by pre-heating the air and reducing airflow to the rad.

Move the FMHE to directly in front of the condenser and ensure all of your ducting is in tact.

Trans is going to heat up a little when you are in a traffic jam. Sounds like you have the fans turned on with a normal or 180F stat?

i watch my trans religiously and most ive seen was on the way home from dealer and hit 217 degrees, but normally 195 -200.

my temps are between 197-200 when the car fully warmed up after 20mins of driving. My trans doesnt get above 200* unlesss i drive for more than an hour straight, maybe that flush i did awhile back is helping out.

I was talking about this topic earlier in the chat. Lately after the car gets up to op temp it immediately rises enough that the fans come on. Which isn't too bad, but it just stays high enough that the fans always run. So it's probably about time for a pump, rad, or both.

Rad fans provide annoying vibration, etc.

The hottest my car has been is 189* coolant and 180* trans.

Really? I really wanna call bs on 189* coolant temp.

My car will ride at 212* after running it hard for awhile then slowly drop down to around 200-205. I know I need a new rad and a good flush. My first flush attempt didn't work out so good.
my trans rarely gets to 200* unless my coolant gets over 215.

my car is between 176 and 190 most of the time even when driving for extended periods. the other day i had the AC on and had it idling while i ran in to mail a package. when i came back the temp as about 198 and quickly dropped when i started driving. when down to 189 for the trip home.

I have: the over sized radiator from when i had the DOHC, 180* drilled stat, and fans adjusted in the pcm.

the regal never goes any higher than this. i do mean never. even in the last 2 days with 100 deg heat, this is the in traffic temp. the needle is really right on the edge of the 1/2 way mark. camera angles lol

it will drop to a tick over 1/4 when on the highway.

My scan gauge says trans is about 215-225 in stop and go traffic and my coolant get as high as 225 when in traffic but gets back down to 200ish when i get going. I have a 97 gt with ubend delete and CAI.

wow, those are some high temps, even for traffic. u should look into that...

really?mine has never come close to that. and i thought high tranny temps like that could indicate that its time to change it?

the hi speed fans dont kick in till 215 or around there, so 225 isn't to bad. (for traffic) my last 2 trucks ran at 210 all day, and all my older cars always ran at 225.

one of these days ill have a real temp gauge but the regal only dances a 1/4 to 1/2 way tops.

My '04 GT runs up to 220 sitting in traffic, highest ive seen is 223. At highway speeds without hard acceleration it goes to 190 and stays there. My transmission under normal driving runs between 190 and 206, I saw it as high as 217 once, but i was driving it hard.
