• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What are your other hobbies?

Abrasive

I say it with pictures
So, what else are you into besides cars?

I love to fish, turkey hunt, and most of all, the wife and I love to entertain friends. We have people over to the house almost every weekend and about twice a year we throw a big ass BBQ/Bonfire for the entire KCPMC crew.

Oh yeah, I did I mention my backyard theater? Probably won't see this everyday. LOL! We had a couple movie nights for the club last year (as well as a bunch of private showings) and are really looking forward to it again when it warms up in 2008. I put up a 12' x 7' screen up on the back of the house and use a stereo, DVD player, projector setup custom built by me. If you're ever in the KC area during the summer, shoot me a PM and see what's playing!

Here's some pics in my album of the theater.

Here's a video. We were playing Behind Enemy Lines by request for a club member on this night.

I love to tinker with stuff, repair, troubleshoot, that sorta thing. I was in electronics for a long time before going into telecommunications. I love to work on and 'play' with cars just about more than anything. I particularly love to help people out with their cars that would otherwise have no way to get them fixed or taken care of.

I tinker on my car ALL the time. It spends all but 3 or so days a month in the garage...and the hood is always up. Always on jackstands or something.

I also do the porting work that keeps me busy quite a bit. Cam installs, rocker installs etc.
I just love working on cars.

getting my fleet of cars running. that and starting to get into bikes. partying like its 1999. and working my butt off at work.

Right now not a lot hobby wise... Waiting on my radio controlled car to get to me over here.. then that will be it. Otherwise the gym, and when I get home my car will occupy a good portion of my time.. Haven't seen it in 6 months though. Ow well, alls the more joy when I do get back.

I love RC cars also. I had to quit that hobby as I was going broke with it. I had a T-Maxx that I had $3500 in! It finally came to the point of ridiculous and I cut my losses, sold it, and never got back into another one.

I used to be into R/C's too. I had a full race-ready RC10GT setup and a Monster GT. Loved both trucks to death but sold both of them since I didn't have enough space/time to enjoy them at college.

My only real hobby outside of cars is weightlifting/training. SO addicted.:p

I enjoy long walks on the beach, drinking champagn...
wait. that's not me.
Hunting, Fishing, Going fast on ANYTHING, Biking, Mudding, Snow Drifting, Getting COVERED in motor oil, paintball, airsoft, going for long runs with the Marines, knives, ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Go-karts, Horseback riding, Spending ridiculous amounts of money on stuff I don't need (like Oakleys), Going to Concerts, playing guitar, saxophone, drums, and bass, traveling, being a pyromaniac, stealing the hubcaps off of my friend's shitty taurus wagon, messing with telemarketers, laughing at people who look like idiots when they play Dance Dance Revolution, reading motor trend and car craft, If you've actually read to here, you have no life, working on my friends cars, taking autoshop classes, going to Wal-mart at 3 A.M., surfing (when I can), etc, etc.

Good enough?:D

I love the thread topic, this was a nice idea for other members to get to know other members.

Well my main hobby is my car, and of course other peoples cars. Just have always had a passion for cars.

Lately my current hobby has been house work/repair. I bought my first house on my own in 2005 for $58K. 1100sf. in a 1/2 acre lot. The house was built in 1954, the last owner "worked" on the house, but did not know what they were doing. Plumbing, electrical, and cosmetic stuff are all in turmoil. Working one room at a time, replacing and updating whats needed as I go. I'll just say, as I get into it more, I'm not surprised anymore by what I find. LOL

The $180.00 I paid for a home inspection was a joke. Lesson learned, next home I buy, I am doing the home inspection myself. or at least walk around with him and pointing out stuff he misses or over looks. I walked around with him for this house, but I was new to the process and not knowing what to really look for.

Before I bought my house, or started college, I was into bicycles. I still am, but just don't have the free time to enjoy that hobby.

I was racing BMX bicycles since I was 15, have a room full of trophy's and plaques too. I won about every national I went to at least once. The only two nationals I could never win was Gold Cup, and Race of Champions. I could qualify to go, and make it to the main event where I was guaranteed a trophy, but could never place anything better than I think a 2nd or a 3rd place. Either I would get crashed, or get slowed down by stupid riders. I'll get back into it, and hopefully, win one of those nationals some day, thats all I want is to win there at least once. I kept my bike though...wont give it up for anything:

My other bike I like to ride and get dirty, jump, and just try to break is my dual slalom bike:

8" front disk brake, 6" rear disk brake, 5" of front fork travel, 24X2.0 tires, and only 16 speeds too.

Those are my pleasures in life I try to enjoy.

My hooy is actually one of my jobs...I work for a rock band running the lightshow every weekend...I get to go to different towns everyweekend and it's a lot of fun

I'm lucky. My wife let's me spend the money I earn porting and polishing on my car....no questions asked. She does however get a treat every now and then. THAT keeps her off my ass.

My husband spends way more than any girl I've ever met. He also has to have the most exspensive shit. He went through the RC car fase. He still has 'em all. We have 4 "project" cars. He has 2 HIGH dollar bicycles(Trek?) I got mine at Wal-Mart for $50. How do you ride 2 bikes anyway? I didn't even want a bike. I got cars.
My hobby I guess is driving. (shut up Scot and Chris) I'll drive all day if I could. Where ever we go, I take my car and Troy takes his. If we ride together, we fight over the radio and he dosen't like the way I drive. The turning lane sometimes has to be my own personal passing lane. It works for me.
He gets shit all the time but says next week will be your week promise. I've been waiting on a pro-charger for 2 years now. Maybe by the time I get one, they'll be giving them away.haha
