What are good N/A headers?

I keep seeing posts for headers for supercharged guys, are any headers good for N/A?I plan on getting headers eventually

I read about the loss of low end torque with headers. So i might just do plog or ported manifolds, then downpipe, res delete for glasspack, and maybe mufflers. Those shouldnt be too bad right?

N/A, I'd be more inclined to go TOGs or PLOG+DP to keep some low end power, unless you've got some extensive work planned.

No, nothing too major,im probably gonna keep it N/A for the rest of the life of it or as long as I have it.Currently she has 125k on the odm. Im going to slowly mod her not go balls out and boost and intercool her and what not lol. I figured the plog and downpipe though, might consider that.

If you're just going to do like... Cone Intake, HV3, Tune and nothing else to your engine? Yeah, go downpipe and PLOG. It's cheaper and easier than TOGs and will keep your low end better than SD's.

Get headers.

Don't be a ***** like slowNA06.

Headers on a N/A car give it a nice EQUAL power band instead of ZOOOOOOOOOM between 2 and 4 grand then dieing like someone threw a bag over the intake to the redline.

Eh, that's a good point. I'm a Sally. Do the headers.

Ah ok.I see. So speed daddys, and any other headers to consider? TOG's are damn expensive.I saw some headers on wbody store i think they were pacesetters, are those good too?

Speed Daddy's are great headers. And cheap. You'll see GREAT gains with them coupled with a HV3, open cone, and a tuned PCM. Then...cam it or get rockers...since you don't want to do any crazy modding...rockers would be great for you.

Alright i see.Yea i had plans for hv3, and rockers later on as well.So i guess speed daddys or SSAC it may be,thanks guys for the input.

all of the headers have one and three quarter primarys.

some used to have one and five eighths which was good for N/A cars and smaller builds.

no wonder my car has less boost (see better flow) with the SD headers compared to the pacecrappers...

That makes no sense if the primaries are smaller on the SD's than the PS's. 1 5/8" is smaller than 1 7/8"...1 7/8" is almost two inches...which means it should should flow more than SD's...unless SD's are the same as PS's.

Same ambient temps, top of second gear, only mechanical change was going from pace****ters to SD's.

pace: 8 psi at 6000 RPM.

SD: 7.6 psi at 6000 RPM.

Well within the range of "error" but i've noticed lower boost levels in general

And its ****ing COLD out.
