• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What a joke...

Plus the fact that huge diesel trucks are horrendously slow for the most part and a ***** to make quick.

Now take a 350 and stick it in an early S10. There's a truck!

Not sure what trucks you seen! I have seen some BADDDDD durmax and cummins.

I'm not even quite sure how to take this thread, but first off, people who got thier cars handed to them aren't always the one's talking about how fast their car is or how their life suckes becuase the 360 crapped out. As one of the younger members on this forum (19) I for one know where the attacks are directed at. I also know that many of the younger members on this forum know how to work on cars and can offer great advice. I bought my own first car and have worked on it myself since just becuase that's how people learn, and I will offer advice to those who need it becuase I want people to learn from what I learned. This site has different sections for a reason. Go under a certain section and you can find whatever you want. Search hard enough and you could figure out everything you would ever want to know about a GP and then some, but I guess some of us actually have lives outside of eating, sleeping and driving a GP, thus, topics not related to GP's. When you go to work, do you only talk about the actual work, or do you talk about your personal life and such to co-workers? Same applies to any forum.

yeah I was gonna say diesels are def nice trucks with lots of potential and doesnt take much to make them fast exhaust and a programmer I know a kid with a duramax runnin 1000lbs of torque and hes runnin 12.80s I think in a quad cab truck now thats impressive

sorry but a diesel will always be better than an s10 with a 350. Think of how much more you can do with it. Buy a cummins 12valve and put it in a 98-03 ford body. Now theres a truck. :th_drooling: That is the plan for my friends 24valve with a p-pump. It runs 90psi of boost and about 900 or so hp. :th_king-evil:

I also agree about the pointless threads.
You can get MAD amounts of power out of a 12v Cummins. The only problem is the power you get, is 24/7. All the upgrades are mechanical. No chips or plug-and-play or anything convenient like that. They are very very reliable, but when you start getting into the high torque/hp ratings, you get crappy mileage. 24v Cummins would be my route. But my Powerstroke is doin just fine :th_biggrin2:

Also, there is NO WAY he's getting 900 hp. ESPECIALLY if its a daily driver in a 12v. The most I've ever seen at a dyno days for HP is around 875 out of a Duramax. Torque is all I care about tho :th_king-normal:

If he's getting 1000 ft/lbs of torque he's got more than just exhaust and a tuner lol. Sounds like a $7,000+ set up!!

I never said thats all he had I just said that u can make them fast just doing an exhaust and programmer but I said I know a kid that has 1000lbs of torque and runs 12s just to like show the potential

I left S10forum when I had my truck and it is night and day compared to this site.
Nothing sadder than those guys bragging about straight pipes or upgrading the 2.2L.
My uncle has a golf and said he got flamed out on the vdub forum anytime he asked anything.
I used to be on S-10 Forum, that place is a freakin joke, i got totally ripped off on a trade deal with a guy for a in dash dvd in trade for a kicker L5 sub, of course he got his indash and also kept the sub, screw that place

your rant ='s FAIL, your obviously not asking the right ppl or posting in the right section. some jokes are added but you can't always expect a solution to your problem in the matter of seconds...

you my friend, are mistaken about this forum...

cool to hear people talkn about a diesel tho.also have a 96 powerstroke.havent seen to many small block s-10s that could take my duramax and still be a daily driver, pull 15,000#'s,and make 20mpg
