• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What a joke...

Just stopped in to another Prix forum and saw this.

Person says his fuel filter is stuck on from rust and age. First response was, heat it up with a torch.

Nice! I can joke around too but come on, the person wants some help on getting it off! :(

I agree he should've gotten advice but that's still funny as hell :p

I looooove AllData. I use that more than I use FMCdealer at work.

By the way, do GTP's with mods run hot enough to require water-meth injection minichopper? Or is it mainly used as a HP gain?

270 degrees fahrenheit at 10psi of boost, not "required" but a big gain can be had. I personally run both an intercooler and water meth.

Oh and toolguy, I have access to AllData, so I hate to one-up you, but I can look up service manuals for any make and model from 84-09 :D

You really hurt my feelings with that one! :th_winking: I am leaving this site for good! :th_laugh-lol3:

Well you should ike AllData, it is probably stolen, unlicensed info from GM and all the other OE's! LOL!!!!! :th_laugh-lol2: (kidding, I do not know if this is true. sometimes it is though)

Im on other forums as well and they all seem about the same at times

I've never owned one, and decided to myself that I will never. I've spent more time working on them for friends and family than any other brand of car. That's enough to decide I want nothing to do with anything designed by Ford's engineers.

lmao in general not a ford fan all i can back up is what i own though lol now the sable i have rebuilt But the crown vic seems pretty solid

dude, just cause somebody got it from their parents doesn't mean they didn't work for it. i worked 30 hours a week for my last year of high school and my truck died a month before graduation. i wanted a grand prix anyways and my parents thought that it would be better to have that one then one we haven't been in control of for 6 years. i gave them my savings, grad money, and money i sold my truck for, close to 3 grand for it. and then turned around and my last two paychecks went to insurance and the brakes, oxygen sensors, mass air flow sensor, oil change, and a couple other little things. not every stupid kid puts a cold air intake and a fart can on their car and calls it God's gift to automobiles. my car's stock, i'm here to learn about it and hopefully have fun building a motor for it one day. it's not like i can help that it's affordable and reliable. sorry to sound like an ass but that hits pretty close to home.

Owning a stock GP and buying it with your own money for gas mileage and what-not is different than a lot of (not all) 16-18 year olds on here. That's what should be done! :th_thumbsup-wink:

I'm not a Ford fanatic by any means. I know what goes wrong with them and when to expect it, but why do people hate Fords so much? For the price of a 2005 GTP (around $14k I'm guessing??) You can get a late model (99-early 03) 7.3L Powerstroke, add a couple basic fuel mileage mods and you got yourself a vehicle that will get 22 mpg, will run to 500,000 miles and then some, AND is a babe magnet!

So its probably closer to around $20,000 (which is a **** ton of money, don't get me wrong lol) but its more of an investment than 'its just something I'm driving till I can afford something faster'. Not to mention, I haven't put my truck on a dyno, but I'm guesstimting around 350-375hp and around 800 ft/lbs, with almost 30 psi boost. Thats in setting 4 of 6 on my programmer! :th_laugh-pointup:

Sorry for the whole asshole persona I put on when I first joined... I feel like I have helped people in other areas (general tech) and I plan on sticking around for awhile! Also, get used to me talking about my truck! I loooooove that coal rollin SOB! And my POS-supid-effin 3100... LOL :th_jester:

AND is a babe magnet!

Sure, if you call this a babe... :th_laugh-lol2:

my 2004 gtp comp g was $7500... 20,000-7500= 12,500 extra cash... i can have some major fun with that haha

not everybody wants a truck. nor can everybody drive one. a gtp sends a completely different message than a huge diesel truck. just not for everybody

Plus the fact that huge diesel trucks are horrendously slow for the most part and a ***** to make quick.

Now take a 350 and stick it in an early S10. There's a truck!

i agree with powermax hay im only 19 but i agree if your going to put a thread on the forum atleast make it about cars or trucks....... just my 0.02

sorry but a diesel will always be better than an s10 with a 350. Think of how much more you can do with it. Buy a cummins 12valve and put it in a 98-03 ford body. Now theres a truck. :th_drooling: That is the plan for my friends 24valve with a p-pump. It runs 90psi of boost and about 900 or so hp. :th_king-evil:

I also agree about the pointless threads.
