What a grand prix is worth

Im looking to get a 1999 grand prix GTP with 112,000 and no rust and stock. needs new shocks and tires. the guy wants 5000. what do you guys think its worth? That just seems kinda high to me.
 


It is high. I just bought an 01 Gt for that with 111,000 in november. For a 99 id probably pay 3500 for it. Your gonna have to put some money into it for shocks and tires so talk him down but I wouldnt any higher than 4000 if i where you
 
the guy looked it up on kbb, and thats what its going for in good condition. would the car be worth 3000, and what basic mods could i do to it for looks?
 
if hes firm on 5k, i would try to find another seller because honestly there are alot better condition GP's for cheaper.
as far as appearance mods you could tint your tails/windows, new exhaust tips, debadge...there are alot of ways you can go with it. depends on how much money you want to spend and what look youre going for. i would look in the members ride section for ideas.

Just looking for appearance mods. to make it look good going down the road.
 




$5K for that car? No way man. Offer him $3K - but I doubt he'll drop his price that much.
To give you something for comparison, last Fall I picked up a 2001 GTP, no rust, very clean, 198K Kilometers (about 123K miles), new tires, pads and rotors, e-test and safety for $3500. And you know we pay more for things up here in Canada, and a rust free car is also a premium.
 
i got my gtp for 1600 with 116k after you buy a gp its worth more to you then what you could sell it for:th_sign-imo:
