2005 grand prix gtp

So yesterday during a heavy rain storm i noticed that my headliner was wet near the driver side door, i thought maybe i did not close to the door all the way and soaked up what i could and left it. today its been raining off and on and when i went in my car its way worse, the headliner is wet from the driver side door to almost the middle of the car near the dome light and as far back at the rear driver side door. I checked the weather stripping near the driver side door and its all sealed and not even wet. My only other guess is the sun roof, is this a common problem and an easy fix for this?
 


Yep. Check the sunroof drain. Probably clogged. Do a search for sunroof drain on here and I know a how-to should pop up.

Many times, all that needs to be done is to wiggle the hose around, that sticks into the door jamb between the hinges. To restore drainage. Usually the clog is right at one end or the other. The good news is that if the water is up high, the hose is still good at the top end.
 
Worst case scenario find a way to use an air compressor and blow the drain tubes clear. Not sure what you have to do to get to the drain lines as I've never had a sunroof car (this is one reason why, lol..)
 
I can say from experience that even a small can of compressed air is usually enough to blow clear any debris in the sunroof drains. I do mine once a year, and then test each drain with a bottle of water. The front ones drain behind the front tires, the rear ones in front of the rear tires. The red tube that comes with the cans can reach the front ones from up top, the rear ones I've just dropped the headliner and removed the end of the tube itself.

Also, if you have an OnStar antenna (also used for satellite radio), they leak badly on every 04+ GP I've come across. I just drop the headliner, remove the one nut or bolt that holds it in place, and the use clear silicone where it inserts and where the outer gasket seats. Solves that leave every time.

And just as a quick check, make sure your sunroof seal sits just a tad above the roof when closed. Occasionally you just need to adjust the sunroof itself, but it's rare.
 
What is the easiest way to drop the rear of the head liner to hook up sunroof drain tubes that are not connected?
