that's dumb. clearly the girl has already made her point that she doesn't like your friend and she's not gonna go out with the friend, thus the race proves nothing but at the end of the day no matter which guy "wins" she's gonna pick who she wants regardless. she's also made it clear that she's into you. so you need to get that established between your friend, make sure that he knows the girl doesn't like him and everything he's dreamed up in his head is just that, a dream. if your friend still has issues with it, oh well. go out with the girl, she wants to spend time with you she likes you. the friend will come back around once he gets over it, if he's good enough of a friend. he has no rights to this girl and he seems a bit obsessed.

all is fair in love and war... Been in the same situation, girl my buddy liked contacted me, so I started talking to her. She told him that we were chilling, he was not happy. Didn't really say much about it though. He wasn't making progress. Still friends for 5+ years. I've actually had my best friend hit on my date before, I was fine with it. I hit on his girlfriend once in while, now, lol... Still friends... pretty secure i guess...
 
Your friend sounds like a pus$y. He needs to realize that she has him in the friend zone, and once in the friend zone, there is little chance of getting out. He doesn't call the shots on her, since he isn't dating and hasn't even dated her in the first place. If he doesn't like it and he objects to you going out with the girl, then he never really was a friend in the first place.
 


remind him hes obviusly got no chance if shes on your nuts and not his. hes probly been trien for years and cant accept the fact that there just friends and nothing else. id laugh in his face. i mean yeah thats ya boy n **** but when it comes to girl and your boys, ex- girls are off limits but other than that its fair game. you guys arent in 5th grade, you cant say " i call that girl" or " dibbs on her i called it" wtf? your boy is a clown

Or, u can play the good guy role and explain to her that your friendship isn't worth losing over a girl. And both move on to diff girls all together.

If the kid doesn't want to remain friends with the OP over this girl, then he was never realy his friend in the first place. I have been on both sides of the ball, and it was gotten over by both parties.
 


honestly, your friend sounds like hes off his meds, if you date her and he dont like it, 2 problems solved, one, she gets rid of the stalker, and 2 you get rid of a unstable friend.

been on both sides of i want her, ( winner and loser) it all comes down to who she wants to be with, the loser will just have to be a big boy and deal with it, or move on to new friends if he cant handle not getting her.

and if i had been begging for years of come on date me and get shot down every time, i would have moved on already, ( after 2 times at most) your friends a bit off in the head...

you cant beg someone to date you, get shot down....and then play big brother to her over every guy who tries to date her.

next question is ... can you take him? it may come to that.....lol

yeah beating around the bush wont help out any one, my best friend started sneaking around with my ex of 2 weeks or less, well lets just say he spent the next week in the hospital, and im not kidding....(this was back in HS too)
 
Yeah its either,
A. Be an asshole and the person gets super pissed for a day.
B. Beat around the bush and they semi hate you forever. Or in your case beat the **** out of you hahaha.:th_laugh-pointup:
