• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Well this looks like the end 4t65e

Don't worry just yet man, mine started doing the exact same thing at around 70k. Two pan drops and filter changes, plus the Transgo shift kit, and it's working almost perfectly at 105k.

My only problem is the car occasionally clunking into first gear, but I'm almost certain it's due to a bad PCS solenoid since it goes away after a restart.. Once I replace that I bet it will be fine.

Thanks for the boost in confidence this car has been nickel and diming me to death and I was sure it was going to cost me this time..... we will see the out come once I get the shift kit ect. in

I like the napa filter over the filters I've seen from advance. For fluid doesn't really matter as long as it's dexron III or VI. I used Castrols version bought off amazon for like $40 or so shipped with 2 day.

Doesn't it take like 8-10qts tho?

Cool beans. I will get some ordered and hopefully change it soon... I have not choice but to drive so I will baby it !

So this morning I decided to do a cold sample vs a hot sample of my trans fluid

Cold sample Performed @ 31°
Hot same performed @ 151°

Here are the results

The cold fluid to the naked eye was nice and bright red upon wipping on a paper towel was reddish brown assuming the sediment is at the bottom of the pan ect.

I decided to go out and drive stop n go for about an hour per the aeroforce trans was @ 151°so I went home and check the fluid again. Fluid still looked bright red to the eye and reddish brown on the towel.

I shinned a flashlight at both samples and noticed no shinny metallic shaving or material at all

Just thought I post an update of my findings

Stick some magnets on the bottom of th pan on the passenger side. Get on from ace the 50lb rated one. That way you can keep a lot more clutch material out of the fluid until you change it.
