Weird WOT experience



hmm, misfires during WOT, that's not good at all, Check your plugs, wires, fuel pressure right off the bat.
 
How do you check your wires? I have the most recent zzp wires, and i know that their previous wires had a lot of issues w customers.

Things I'm thinking could be wrong-
Trans
Fuel pump
Some kind of Pcv valve issue, the valve itself was oily- not sure if normal.
Wires
Plugs
Valve seals....

Any help would be appreciated. I'm obviously really hoping its just a fuel pump or plug wires... But not likely
 
Okay so my back three plugs all came out (and to my surprise, way easier to do with the sd headers ) and the insulators were mostly smooth white with a black area. The black area looks like there's little thin later of soot scraped off in the center of the black area. I'm headed to the store right now and I really wanna get the right plugs this time. I had iridium ngk tr6. Maybe some al105s?

YES, it could be that simple and why not check the simple stuff first? My friend had a set of those "new" zzp wires and they were junk. Like I said, check the above mentioned things first. Can you scan O2 voltage?

Got some ngk tr55s, copper v power. Gonna see if symptoms repeat and if they do ill put my original wires back on and seeing anything changes.
 
oh btw, you check wires by checking the resistance across them. They should have similar readings. However, the longer they are the more resistance they will naturally have. For example number 1 will have the least and number 6 will have the most. Also, the front set 1,3,5 will have the least and similar resistance and the back 2,4,6 will have the most and similar resistance. Just look for funky high numbers. Again, those zzp wires are JUNK.
 


Well i put in tr55s yesterday cause that's all they had at o reileys. Well, I over gapped them and my car is running like poo, I've actually never gapped plugs before and I think they were gapped at like 64 or something.

So I got a different gapping tool and some copper 104s. Gonna set em at .057 and see how they do.

My 30000 mile old iridium plugs I just put in straight from the box. Checked the gap on one today and it read .04?!

Yeah so.... It was tuned with tr6ix plugs gapped at .04. Any advice?

Yes, can scan 02 volts
 


Sounds like we need to have you
1. Check the plug wires. Personally I don't find ohming them out is a good test of their ability to work with the high voltage. I'm more of a swap and see kinda guy on wires.
2. Check fuel pressure
 
Been workin non stop, finally got a day off. Off to the garage now, ill let you guys know what I come up with.
