Weird tranny problem

Yesterday I went about 75% throttle for a few short runs on my way home. As i was pulling into my neighborhood i took the first turn and right when i was in the middle of the turn i lightly touched the gas to accelerate out of the turn. my car kind of jerked oddly. it was almost like the transmission itself was moving around. its kind of the same feeling as if you were being pulled in a sled and there is some slack on the rope. the puller then gets going and right when the slack is gone you feel that jolt. i can actually feel it coming from under my seat. there is a thread about this in the other forum and no one knows what it is yet. its in the first page of the 04-08 general forum. topic is titles "very weird feeling when taking off."

afte this was happening every turn i looked at my tranny temp and it read 201*. normally it runs at 156*-167*

i just got my fluid filter changed a few weeks ago but this has been going on fora few months now. anyone have any ideas? thanks.

it may be. why would it only act up after I have been driving around awhile then or after I push the car a little and the transmission heats up?

Have you checked the fluid level? It may just be a little low on fluid and when you took that turn the fluid sloshed to one side and was not being picked up for a breif moment. It's very common after a service, since there is really no correct amount of fluid a service will require. Sometimes it takes 4 qts and sometimes it takes 6 qts. Are you just having issues on turns?

im going to have the fluid checked next time I get my oil changed which will be very soon. It happens on turns about 90% of the time and the other 10% on straightaways. I just got the tranny fluid and filter changed a few weeks ago and it took 7 quarts of Valvoline dexron 6 fluid and i put in an AC Delco filter. this problem was happening before the fliud and filter change though.

You didn't by anychance get the thermo thingy knocked off did you? I don't know what to really call it, but it's that thin little metal sliver that has a bend in it, right by the filter. You can get issues if that gets knocked off. It's supposed to open up on a hot trip to allow more fluid to pass. I wouldn't neglect checking the oil for too long. It doesn't take long to burn the clutches up when it's low on fluid. Seven qts sounds like enough, but you never know.

I know exactly what metal silver thing you are talking about. when we were changing the fluid it was still there. Im trying to find time to bring my car in. hopefully next week.
