Hey guys, long time lurker... small time poster
Anyways, was hoping you guys could help me out here. Usually I do all the work on my 98 Grand Prix GT, and all the diagnosing, but this one kind of stumps me. My check engine light was on for a while, so I bought a scanner offline... once it got here, I scanned it and I got two codes from the computer, bank one too lean and TPS voltage too low, so I replaced the TPS and the oxygen sensor.
Things seemed to be fine, untill the next day we were driving and all of a sudden the car was gutless... you had to give it probably 30% more throttle to get it to go anywhere... and, the interior ding would ding, you know, like when you open the door? Now, the gutlessness has gone away.. but every once in a while, the ding will still go off. Does anyone know if this is a sign of anything? I would appreciate any hints. Also, the gutless symptom.. Do you think the oxygen sensor might be acting up? or the new TPS? the voltage seems to be in range for the TPS.. Anyway, I'm at a loss... let me know what you think.
Sorry for the long post.
