Weird sunroof problem

I searched a bit but i couldent find anything quite like this. My sunroof draws enough current to blow the fuse weather im using it or not. Im talking a constant 20+ amp draw. I put a 30 amp fuse in just long enough for it to very slowly close. The fuse was hot when i pulled it back out. Seams to work just fine (although slow due to the strange current draw). I havent had time to ohm check the supply side to ground yet but i will when i get home. What do you guys think? 2001 gt

IMHO, bad ground or power supply wire being grounded. Hope you can find it. I hate all electrical except stereo install haha.

I cant check until around 1 or 2 this afternoon but im guessing something is shorted in the switch. A bad ground wouldent cause the excessive draw even when the sunroof is sitting unused i dont think. Im going to ohm check power side to ground and ground to battery ground anyways.

I just unhooked the motor and sunroof switch and there is still a draw. What else should I eliminate?

You have a short somewhere. Id look at some wiring diagrams, and start searching.

I wish i could find a proper diagram. Anyone ever post the full.schematics on here?
