Weird sound, transmission??

Okay, so here is the deal, I have a 2004 Grand Prix natural asp 3.8L v6. Now there is this sound that sounds like a whirling type of sound, and I think my car is leaking transmission fluid because it does not smell like oil and this sound has gotten louder over the course of a week.

Turns out it was power steering, at least I think, because when I checked the steering fluid it was near empty which explains the sound, but now the power steering is leaking steadly. Any ideas on what this can be, and I believe this thread needs to be moved =P

If the ps is leaking, you should check to see if all of the o-rings are good.

yeah make sure no cracks or breaks in the line too...just do a good PMCS

I didn't PMCS my truck yesterday and was riding around baghdad for 2 hours before I seen that the fuel tank was leaking :th_lipssealed2:
