weather stripping got torn

recently locked keys in car had no spare so had to go in the door.. on the way out wire grabbed some stripping and now its a hole to outside.. rained and is def dripping and draft.. i was going to get this -----> STICK ON REPLACEMENT SPONGE RUBBER WEATHERSTRIPPING - JCWhitney but everyone said dont to get the real thing.. i cant find it!! can i use this or does anyone know where to get the real thing???

i went to the junk yard and pulled one off of a car ive asked around and thats the only place ive found here in town. If you hear anywhere like in-store/online, keep me updated..

A tip for next time, to jimmy these cars, go down the window, up the other side past the window scraper, and back down to push the lock button. The rod should look something like an "N".
