Weak reverse

Well my 2000 Grand Prix GTP has had an issue with reverse since I bought the car. I thought it was the reverse servo but when I pulled it out I could immediately tell that the gasket was not the issue. When the car is cold, it will have a weak reverse, but once the car is up to operating temps, there is no reverse. What could be the issue? I'm assuming it's low line pressure, but what is in the trans that would only affect the reverse gear and not the forward gears? The trans shifts fine in all forward gears. Reverse is the only issue.
 


search some on here and the web about the boost valve.. alot of times the "seat" gets worn and allows a bleed-by condition which causes a weak or non existent reverse. sonnax sells a new boost valve with a hardened sleeve, along with a "reamer" tool to facilitate the new sleeve.
 
ok. I also should have mentioned that the previous owner said the trans was rebuilt in 2010 so most gaskets should have been replaced.
