WBODY STORE CNC Heads?

Can't really beat the price especially with springs and retainers included....anybody with any experience with them
?

I'm trying to gather info and opinions so I can piece together my build for next summer....any input appreciated....

cam/stage2 Heads/METH = basically what I'm leaning towards....

Stage: custom.

Get those heads and have the bowls polished too.

5 angle?

Didn't know if they included that with it...even though I think the factory gives you a 3-angle job already.

Do what I did:

Find a set of good used l67 or l32 heads and have a local machine shop p&p them.. Put it this way, I spent less than what those heads cost and my port job is at least equivalent to stage 2 heads.

My first thought was used set and machine shop...but with Wbody there's no core charge, new valve seals, new retainers, new 105 springs all assembled and just for giggles paint of choice....so figure $150 on l32 heads max, $700-800 on a good p&p + springs/retainers and the total cost is almost washout between the two

Here has been my biggest question since day 1 about w body heads who in the hell has the flow and cc numbers for any given set of heads. Cc and flow numbers make a huge difference once you start talking about compression, gasket thickness, cam, and rockers to be used. Pretty much every other platform when you go looking for a set of heads the company states that information.

Yes but the p&p would be much better than just cnc ported heads. You could get a stg 3 or 4 equivalent port job for roughly the same price of the cnc heads. In other words, better bang for your dollar

I've also yet to understand why people don't run more compression maybe I'm just jaded from trolling the honda build thread but if they can run 13:1 compression on boosed engines why can't a 3800? Sure cooling and fuel maybe more of a factor but e85/tune/intercooler/meth would help keep the knock down.

Because that information will typically vary. Intense has flow numbers on their website. I don't exactly believe them though. Everything else you listed will change, depending on the head being used.

I'm not aware of a way to get our motors to that high of compression. I think around 11.5:1 is about the highest we can go while still keeping it reliable.

I realize only option would be milling the heads or ordering custom pistons.

Also a post from you not being a douche thanks what has this world come to?
