The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Part number? I can't find any v6 specific. V8s are 8mm x 1.25 do they work? I figured 12 point heads/nuts. Any of these go into the cooling chamber and cause water leaks?
They don't extend into the water jacket. That being said, stock bolts do come out with sealant on them from the factory. I just throw some liquid teflon on the threads before I put them back in.
I installed a set last fall and i love them. only thing i had to do is put some tin foil under the clamp to get rid of a very small leak. Also do an egr delete it will save you a headache on install. They run great tho.
As long as the EGR code is removed...I've never heard of a 3800 having issues passing smog...and canada is way more strenuous...and people pass with EGR deleted cars up there.
They don't care about anything except it passes the sniff test, stops good and the lights, wipers, and horn works. They don't even really look for an engine light.
If you disabled the EGR, I'd suggest leaving it in a V and P state. Disable it in the programming. I'm probably the only guy that was fully built, intercooled and still had an EGR on the motor to pass inspection.
