Water Pump vs A/C Compressor

I have an '06 Grand Prix GT, 3.8 Supercharged. My car keeps overheating. I already changed the thermostat and am assuming its the water pump b/c coolant was leaking from under the car where the pump is located. I just cant see exactly where it is coming from though. I just had a new pump installed July 2011. Anyway...My question is. Do i have to remove the a/c compressor to change out the water pump. ty for your time :th_winking:
