Looks great, easy install! Sorry no pics. I got the one installed on my 99 GTP. I haven't done my other GTP yet or my dads GT.
Yeah, GM should of definatly did this to begin with. Why they designed it the way they did, we'll never know. (Actully I have my theory, its called "too much collage, not enough common sense")

Should not be buckled at all. It shouldn't come in contact with the cowl what-so-ever. Only thing I can think of is if you didn't trim off enough of the flange on the bottom side of the cowl. It could be hitting that. Pictures maybe?

Probably doesn't fit perfect because it's not designed to fit '04 GPs. Sorry Abrasive, but I thought I read that he asked about '04s, and you answered that you didn't know if it fit. I check back to the 3rd page of this thread. Now you know!

just to help you out they're 15 shipping and yes it is that easy to install. i've got it on mine. he's also got his paypal info on here i think. there's another post under the parts and demods section. but i think me may be out now and has to make more of them.

glad to help out abrasive and oh by the way i had the one piece cowl and i couldn't figure out how to take off the wipers but the cowl is flexible enough so i could install the deflector and i am very satisfied with the quality of it.:th_thumb-up:

This may be a stupid question but is this problem only with passenger side? Do you this part for the driver side because I am getting water on the driver side floor when it rains hard and I dont know where its coming from.

Generally this problem is only on the passenger side because it pours right into the blower assembly and out the duct work below it. It you are getting water on the driver's side then I would say that you have another issue somewhere.

the only reason I can think WHY GM didn't recommend the replacement part is that it requires cutting the cover. Any modification like that might void a warranty, as simple as it is.

I guess that's possible, but if you are like me with your GP as I am with mine, you probably already know every little flaw beforehand. I guess with the wiper in the park position though, it does kinda hide the edge from direct view. I have seen cowls warp slightly over time, but your car is new enough that I wouldn't have thought that would be the case. Plus, the round retainer with the slot in it usually holds it down. I guess you could try loosening that retainer just a bit and see if that helps. The only thing I can think of is that with the original rubber deflector now gone, it might be possible to push that retainer down a little too far causing the cowl to sorta teeter-totter on the edge of the windshield glass and stick up just a little in that area. Again, this is just toatally a guess.
