Washer pump not working

So my windshield washer fluid isn't working. I've topped off the fluid but their is no power going to the pump. I disconnected the plug and put a multi-meter in it and no power is being sent to the pump when I use the switch. The wipers still move but no power goes to the pump and no fluid comes out. Is there a fuse somewhere for the pump? I couldn't find one on the fuse boxes.

The plug was clear of debris. And when I push the mist button the wipers go off but just no fluid so I would venture the problem isn't the switch.

worst comes to worst, you can run a switch to the pump and use a push button to make fluid spray out.

how did the wires at the plug look? any damage to the insulation? maybe poke around for power further up the wire?

No they looked fine. Because at first I thought it was the pump itself. But no power is even going to it. And I was thinking worse case scenario to run my own switch but it would be nice to get the factory one working instead.

maybe see if you can find a wire diagram for the multi switch you can test there for power? it connects under the dash by your feet to a block, its a big plug bolted on, with the multi switch, and the ignition harness all into one plug that comes apart when un bolted.

if you know how to use one of them multi volt reader, ( i dont lol) its said you can find the short or problem switch with it.

this is what the harness looks like off the m switch. these 2 plugs are one 1/2 of the plug they fit into, the other 1/2 is the ignition harness.

its possible one of the wires broke off the switch too, some of them are small.

I know this sounds stupid but I thought my pump was broke a while back and the whole time I was pushing the wrong button. I always figured that sliding the circle knob thing to mist is what I was supposed to do but you have to slide the part sticking up with the picture of the windshield forward. Hope this helps.

First off... Before taking the whole steering thing apart to check at the switch, I would say check your fuses... The with a small multimeter, check for voltage at the pump which is more easily accessible while having someone operate the switch. The pumps do go kaput now and then ya know... Lol.

I've seen fuses, pumps, shorts and of course switches cause this problem. It's best not to shotgun parts at it making assumptions : )

Good luck!
